Children's Ministry

Jesus loved the little children, and so do we.

Not only does Good Shepherd offer the highest quality child care Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 6:30 pm, in our Child Development Center, but we also offer caring children’s ministry through the programs of the church.

Sunday morning children's ministry is offered each week we gather for worship.  Good Shepherd is a place parents can bring their children with confidence for them to learn about God, Christian values, and the Bible lessons that inspire and guide them for a lifetime.  We offer nursery care during worship services and children 4 years through 5th grade are invited to a children's church during pastor's teaching time at the end of the service.  If you would like to volunteer for Children's Church, please contact Cheryl Umbach at cumbach.carbill@gmail.com.  You can sign up for one Sunday a month, or occasional Sundays.  Excellent materials which are easy to prepare and teach are provided. 

Excellent professional nursery care is provide each week by Danielle Plourd and supported by our Good Shepherd volunteers.  If you’d like to occasionally assist Danielle call Bob Martin at 304-1670.  Nursery is always available during worship time and Sunday school classes.

Various family ministry opportunities are also available to support parents in their spiritual nurture of their children of all ages in the Christian faith.
