Q & A Corner
Questions and answers about Good Shepherd Church.
Where are you meeting now?
We are meeting in our brand new building, 1401 Old Hundred Rd Midlothian, VA 23114. We meet every Sunday at 10:30 am for worship.
What is a Launch Team?
Leaders and volunteers who will give and serve for 18 to 24 months to help get Good Shepherd Church and School started. The Launch team will worship at Good Shepherd whenever they are able, give priority attention to one of our small groups, give their tithes and offerings at Good Shepherd, and if they do not absolutely fall in love with Good Shepherd, they may return to the church they came from as successful missionaries.
Can I volunteer to help without becoming a member at Good Shepherd or a member of the launch team?
Yes! Let us know that you want to help, although you do not plan to join. We deeply appreciate the service and gifts of fellow workers in Christ’s Church.
How do I join Good Shepherd?
Please call the church office if you and your family would like to join Good Shepherd. We offer a membership class for everyone joining, especially those who have had no recent involvement in a Lutheran Church.
What is a Small Group?
We truly believe strength, growth and stability in life come from “knowing and being known, celebrating and being celebrated, serving and being served, loving and being loved,” which is possible by participating in small groups. Life is better in community! Small groups consist of 6 to 12 people who meet regularly to study the Word, share their lives, pray for one another, and serve Christ together. Groups are facilitated by a member of the group, or the responsibility is shared by all. Facilitator training sessions are held during the year to help equip people for leadership of a group or to prepare for a study.
